Learning Objectives: Course Objectives The objectives of the course are based on the Professional Standards of the National Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (NCATE), CAEP, the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (INTASC) for Beginning Teachers, as well as alignment to the Connecticut Common Core of Teaching Standards, 21st century skills, and the knowledge, attitudes, skills, and values articulated in the Conceptual Framework of the College of Education, Nursing, and Health Professions (ENHP) at the University of Hartford: A Reflective Practitioner Engaged in Evidence-Based Practices You will be drawing on several resources to develop your thoughts and move you on the continuum of A Reflective Practitioner Engaged in Evidence-Based Practices. These include, but are not limited to: • Required reading • Print and web resources (see attached list of suggested websites as well as specific references in your texts) • Learning experiences in class • Your past experiences – the points of reference you bring to the class • Your current experiences as a student (young professional) • Your required fieldwork • Your reflective blog (based on what you learned in class, your fieldwork and the connections you have made to construct your own meaning and understanding)
