UIST 175 - Ethical Hacking: Information Systems
This course provides an overview of essential concepts and methods for providing and evaluating security in information processing systems. The course approaches the challenges of cyber security, information security, security policies of integrity, and individual privacy concerns from multiple perspectives, including ethical, political, social, legal, regulatory, and environmental. The course will also help students understand the important priority of information threats from the perspective of the Hacker Mindset. Students will obtain hands-on practice with real hacker-based scenarios in the virtual labs. Students will gain knowledge of intrusion detection, social engineering, DDoS Attacks, and virus creation and countermeasures of threats and attacks.
