ME 421 - Aerospace Propulsion
The performance analysis of aircraft gas turbine engines, turboprops, and rocket vehicles. Ideal shaft power gas turbine cycles; cycle losses; the ideal ramjet, turbojet, and turbofan engines; aircraft engine losses; turboprops and propellers; performance of rocket vehicles. Students who have completed ME 421 cannot take ME 531.
Prerequisite(s): ME 420 or ME 530.
