EX 370W - Exercise Physiology
This course presents in-depth mechanisms and applied analyses of the physiological systems involved in acute and chronic responses to aerobic and anaerobic exercise. Topics include: bioenergetics; cardiovascular, pulmonary, musculoskeletal, and endocrine physiology; skeletal muscle and neural control of human movement; and applied exercise physiology. Further, students will become familiar with tests and tools to evaluate physiological and performance variables, as well as the process of data collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination.
Prerequisite(s): BIO 212, BIO 213, and exercise science major; or permission of instructor.
