NUR 700 - Knowledge for Advanced Nursing Practice
This course introduces the student to foundational concepts that are distinct to the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) role. The DNP role requires the ability to critically evaluate scholarly literature to determine its relevance to practice. Advanced professional nurses demonstrate leadership skills through translating evidence into practice using the principles of scientific method. Advanced professional nurses use innovative thinking and techniques to address complex patient and healthcare challenges. Interprofessional teamwork and partnerships provide a solid basis for translating evidence and innovative projects into practice.
Prerequisite(s): Matriculation in the DNP Program.
