A detailed study of the history of piano pedagogical practices, including those of Breithaupt, Gát, Leschetizky, Matthay, Ortmann, Sandor, and Whiteside. Via lectures, demonstrations, and student participation, these theories will be discussed with an emphasis on present-day application. Two hours weekly.
