EX 422 - Clinical Exercise Testing
This course reviews physiology of the cardiopulmonary system; exercise induced acute and chronic responses and physiological adaptations; preparticipation and pre-exercise screening testing and algorithms; and teaches students to perform common testing modalities in clinical exercise physiology. Student will be able to perform and interpret body composition testing, diagnostic electrocardiograms (EKG), graded exercise testing (GXT), and VO2 max testing.
Prerequisite(s): EX 370W, EX 421W, and exercise science major; or permission of instructor.
