NUR 631 - Practicum and Seminar in Nursing Education
This course is the experiential practice component for MSN students in the Nursing Education focus area. Practice hours are devoted to exploring the role of the nurse educator in clinical, classroom, and/or staff education settings. In addition to the precepted experiences in the nurse educator role, students are provided with direct care experiences that advance the clinical expertise of the student in selected areas of practice. Opportunity to explore the components of the role and advanced clinical expertise are evaluated by the instructor with preceptor evaluations, seminar discussions, reflection papers and individual projects.
Prerequisite(s): Matriculation in the Master of Science in Nursing program.
