MSOT 512 - Communication Skills for Effective Practice
Students will learn and apply the principles of written, verbal, and non-verbal communication with professionals, clients, and families. Students will use professional language and terminology associated with clinical documentation, including interviewing skills, screenings, evaluations, goal writing, intervention planning, and progress notes. Students will also be introduced to online documentation systems. The ability to communicate professionally and work with individuals and groups are essential for a practicing occupational therapist.
Prerequisite(s): MSOT 504.
