This integrative course in the humanities considers the contemporary search for solutions to the age-old problems in gaining understanding of truth, art, and ethics. Central questions of value and meaning are pursued by academic disciplines that came to be called the humanities. The course provides an introduction to these humanities together with their essential components, conventions, and connections. (Formerly AUCW 180)
